MARIA PICARDI COLIAC “I COLORI DELL’ANIMA”

Martedì 11 gennaio sarà inaugurata la 129ª personale della pittrice Maria Picardi Coliac. La mostra, organizzata e sostenuta dall’Amministrazione Comunale, ha sede nella storica sede di Palazzo della Marra, dove è in programma, alle ore 11 di venerdì prossimo, 7 gennaio, anche la conferenza stampa di presentazione alla quale interverranno, con l'artista, il Sindaco di Barletta, Nicola Maffei e la Dirigente comunale del Settore Cultura, Emanuela Angiuli. L’esposizione s’inserisce nell’intenso e complesso programma culturale della città che intende avvicinare e sensibilizzare l’intera cittadinanza alla pittura con iniziative e manifestazioni rivolte all’arte del passato e all’arte attuale. Con l’intenzione di continuare l’onda del successo delle esposizioni, la mostra della pittrice Picardi Coliac viene offerta alla cittadinanza, a conoscenza dell’interessante percorso artistico svolto dalla pittrice. La mostra sarà visitabile per circa un mese con ingresso libero e darà l’occasione ai cittadini di Barletta di conoscere, apprezzare e stimare l’opera pittorica di Maria Picardi Coliac, oltre che conoscere personalmente l’artista che potrà essere contattata direttamente da chi interessato. Maria Picardi Coliac si aggancia alla tradizione classica per il lungo contatto con il maestro Vincenzo De Stefano cui è rimasta fedele nel contenuto e nel sentimento e, anche grazie alla sua personale cifra pittorica, è riuscita ad inserirsi nel contesto moderno senza mai abdicare al disegno in lei radicato, sfaldandolo e rendendolo diafano ed essenziale. Nella sua arte racchiude la grazia dell’arte classica affiancata dalla modernità di una tecnica che si esalta per la pennellata scattante, robusta, succosa e che s’impreziosisce per la sinfonia delicata della tavolozza che rende l’opera limpida e accattivante. La 129 esposizione che si tiene nella “casa” di Giuseppe De Nittis è un compendio di ben sessantotto anni di attività e si sviluppa, attraverso sei sezioni, descrivendo la poetica dell’artista. Il tema della natura morta introduce l’esposizione. Quattro tele di grandi dimensioni riassumono il confronto dell’artista con un tema classico della tradizione pittorica. Le composizioni di frutta e ortaggi sono costruite con sapienza attraverso larghe pennellate dense di materia pittorica. L’uva e il melograno – quali richiami alla fertilità e all’abbondanza della terra, accanto alle composizioni di aglio, infilato come una collana, ai finocchi e alle zucche che, invece, rimandano alla semplicità e alla bellezza della vita contadina. La seconda sezione, da spazio ad un tema molto caro alla Coliac: la danza. Qui trovano posto le ballerine tenere e sognanti, raffigurate in pose classiche, fasciate di soffici e trasparenti tutù, ma anche le più svelte figure del tango. Giovani coppie dal passo audace scattante si stringono nella frenesia del ballo più ardito e sensuale. A segnare la distanza tra un dipinto e l’altro, alcuni dei migliori saggi della pittura dedicata ai fiori, con composizioni di iris, gigli e tulipani che testimoniano la versatilità della pittrice. Le opere di questa sezione si rincorrono in un ritmo armonioso e delicato, dove la bellezza fragile e fugace della ballerina è accostata alla delicatezza e caducità dei fiori. La terza sezione apre ad un tema centrale della vita della donna e dell’artista: l’amore e la maternità. La Coliac affronta il momento della tenerezza materna con trasporto emotivo dal sapore fortemente autobiografico. L’abbraccio tra madre e figlio è un abbraccio avvolgente e si risolve in una posa avvolgente, forte e tenero allo stesso tempo. I corpi delle giovani madri sono sospesi in quella casta nudità propria della maternità e si riversano con grazia e amore su quei piccoli esseri, dal visino tondo e paffuto, che stringono al cuore. La sezione dei paesaggi si allarga alle vedute di grandi dimensioni che costituiscono un momento forte di confronto per l’artista. Un tema centrale per la sua poetica che descrive tutti i paesaggi tipici della Puglia. Il pennello si fa materia, pieno di colore e spessore per dar forma alle rocce, così aspre e ruvide della nostra terra, agli alberi spesso incurvati, alle onde del mare spumose e limpide. La serie dedicata al Carnevale si compone di opere grandi che si configurano come scenari classici per la raffigurazione di maschere. Giovani donne in costume da Pierrot e Arlecchino, si accostano alle coppie di gitani, ripresi nel vortice della danza. Insieme ad essi, alcuni malinconici clown dallo sguardo triste e profondo. Un repertorio di maschere talvolta ripresi nello scenario magico e nostalgico di Venezia, la città lagunare sintetizzata dai classici ponti e dalle tradizionali gondole. L’ultima sezione della mostra racconta il tema del nudo. Questo è un soggetto dipinto dalla pittrice da lungo tempo. Infatti, nella sezione sono esposti alcuni dipinti degli anni ’70, in cui le modelle si configurano nelle bellissime e classiche pose del bagno. Di questi bei nudi femminili descritti con pennellate piene di forma e di colore, la pittrice mette in evidenza la bellezza delle figure, della pelle candida e carezzevole, gli intensi azzurri di fondo che ne esaltano maggiormente il gesto. Accanto ad esse, anche i saggi più recenti, in cui la pittrice rimane fedele all’idea di descrivere la bellezza dei corpi attraverso una descrizione fisica puntuale ed attenta, ma risolve il gesto pittorico con un pennello dal tratto più leggero e meno compatto. Contestualmente verrà presentata la monografia scritta da Maria Picardi Coliac e dedicata alla vita e all’arte del maestro Vincenzo De Stefano. Il libro è intitolato Vincenzo De Stefano Un artista da riscoprire offre un breve ma intenso saggio della vita e della pittura di un grande rappresentante artistico della nostra città. Il libro è pubblicato per le Ricerche della Biblioteca “S. Loffredo”. Da alcuni anni rivalutato e portato a conoscenza delle nuove generazioni grazie ad una significativa mostra (Disegni una scelta di arte e di vita. Gabbiani De Stefano Girondi) dedicata al disegno dei maestri dell’arte barlettana, con questa pubblicazione, la pittura di De Stefano si arricchisce di un importante testimonianza dal grande valore storico e biografico. Una testimonianza che consentirà di conservare le memorie di una straordinaria figura artistica e di svelare agli studiosi, che si dedicheranno allo studio della pittura di De Stefano, interessanti particolari e informazioni sull’arte a Barletta tra Ottocento e Novecento. ...details

29 JULY 2009 - THE JAZZ FESTIVAL BARLETTA ITS ISSUE VII

Barletta 8 July 2009 - Seventh edition of Barletta Jazz Festival, an event organized by the Municipality and the Association of Barletta Played in Italy with the dual purpose of promoting quality music and enhance the area, rich in cultural and tourism destination for ever most qualified. The Art Direction confirms yet again the desire to create an overview of styles and languages of the past and the future meet, because, as in previous editions, this year the festival will open to show multiple rhythms and sounds that while moving within the boundaries of improvised music, highlighting the countless possibilities of the genre.
